Ongar Health Centre PPG

Who are we?

The Ongar Health Centre PPG, or Patient Participation Group, is a voluntary organisation that currently consists of six committee members. They are Jenny Juttner, Roberta Abbott, Liz Barber, Dawn Roche, David Jackman and Sheila Cooper. We meet regularly at the surgery and liaise with surgery staff in order to act as a representative and effective PPG.

What do we do?

Your PPG aims to help the practice improve services by providing feedback from patients, monitoring the accessibility of practice communications, carrying out surveys into a variety of subjects, offering practical help at events such as flu clinics, and exploring the changing needs of patients. We also aim to provide information to patients and act as a representative of patient opinion in relation to the provision of health and social care both locally and nationally.

How can you help?

In order for your PPG to represent all patient groups within the practice we need a diverse and inclusive database of patients willing to engage with the PPG by taking part in surveys and providing feedback. If you would like to be included in this then please complete and return a sign up form available at the practice.

You can also sign up to receive our newsletter which is published regularly and provides information relating to the practice as well as local and national healthcare matters and PPG activities.

We are also always looking for new PPG Committee Members!
