You can manage your appointments online using our online services:
If you call to make an appointment our reception team will ask you some questions about the reason for the appointment. This is because sometimes there are other health professionals that may be better suited to your problem, or there may be a service that you can refer yourself to, more information about these services here.
Cancelling or changing an appointment
If you can not make your appointment let us know as soon as you can so another patient can book the appointment time. You can choose the Cancellation option when you call to leave a message to cancel your appointment.
Urgent Appointments
You can request an urgent appointment via telephone or in person with our Care Navigation Team, the Care Navigator will ask you some questions regarding your condition to then take to the Duty Doctor for their advise on appropriate next steps.
Nurse Practitioner and Practice Nurses
Our Nurse Practitioner and Practice nurses are qualified to deal with many conditions. They are all qualified to prescribe and so may be able to help you sooner than a GP. Please let our reception team direct you to the most appropriate person to deal with your problem
Evening and Weekend appointments
Saturday appointments are available to pre-book via the Practice. These are available every Saturday between the hours of 9.00am to 5.00pm. These appointments are a mixture of GP, Advance Nurse Practitioner and Clinical Pharmacist.
Telephone Advice
Some problems can be resolved over the telephone so one of our Care Navigation team may suggest an appointment for you to speak to a Doctor or Nurse.
Home Visits
Remember: You do not have an automatic right to a Home Visit
Under their terms of working, GPs are required to consider home visits for medical reasons only. If you think you require a home visit, please call the surgery between 8.30am to 10.30am. All home visit requests will be medically assessed to check if a visit is appropriate.
Always provide a current landline/mobile number so that the Doctor or Nurse can contact you.
Consent for Treatment
Consent to treatment means a person must give permission before they receive any type of medical treatment, test or examination.
