Repeat Prescriptions

multicolour_pillsIf you are on regular treatment, a request for repeat prescriptions can be made by bringing in or sending by post the computer printed counterfoil, or completing the repeat prescription request form obtainable at the surgery. If you wish the prescription to be posted, please enclose a stamped, addressed envelope.

Alternatively you may order online via the link at the top of this page. New users are required to complete a simple registration prior to using this service.

Please do not request repeat prescriptions by telephone.

Routine Prescription Requests

All routine prescriptions are processed within two working days from the initial request being submitted, but this does not mean they will have been dispensed within this time.  Please allow an additional 24 hours if you are a dispensing patient.

Urgent Prescription Requests

Due to an increase in the amount of urgent requests for normal repeat medication, and the increased pressure this creates for clinicians, prescribing administrators and our dispensary team, any urgent prescriptions requested will only be given one week’s supply of medication.

 Medication Reviews

Patients on repeat medication will be asked to see a doctor, nurse practitioner, practice nurse or clinical pharmacist at least once a year to review these regular medications. Please ensure that you book an appropriate appointment to avoid unnecessary delays to further prescriptions.

Over The Counter Medications

There are a number of items which GPs are no longer able to routinely prescribe as these can be bought over the counter (OTC). Please click here for further information.
